Details of the Celebration of Life for Lawrence B. Harris:

Thursday, June 15, 2023, 11:00 am
Epiphany Episcopal Church (inside Canterbury Hall)
3125 Ritchie Road
Forestville, Maryland 20747
Presiding Pastor E. Gregory

Lawrence B. Harris was the kind of man who kept his commitment in quiet and true ways.  Lawrence never demanded praise or tribute for a job well done. He kept it quiet, as it resided inside his heart.  You just knew it was real and just.

Lawrence was one of the plaintiffs in the “Twenty Citizens” lawsuit (Lois E. ADAMS, et al., Plaintiffs, v. William Jefferson CLINTON, et al., Defendants) who defied the overturning of democracy in his capital and native land – Washington, D.C.  These 20 people were like Lawrence Harris – not one “special” or elected official, but self-chosen and self-selected by a strong belief in truth and justice.

He was the kind of person you could count on. No matter the battle, no matter the subject, Lawrence stood up for what was right!

He will be missed!

Sincerely,

Anise Jenkins
