Ms. Killingham, 76, was survived by her son, Tarik (Judy) Preston and five grandchildren.

U.S. Anti-Terrorism Efforts and Muslims Members of the American Muslim community and the New Black Panther Party talked about the U.S. response to the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Among the issues they addressed were the historical treatment of the black Muslim community, potential racial discrimination by law enforcement officials as a result of recent antiterrorism legislation, and perceived follies of American foreign policy. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience.

Kwame Ture Tribute

Supporters gathered at a fundraising tribute for Kwame Ture, who was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. They talked about his civil rights activities since the 1960s and expressed their affection for him and their gratitude for his work. Mr. Ture spoke about the need for coordinated long-range planning and thinking as well as action by African-Americans to obtain more political and economic power. He emphasized that the masses must unite in an independent movement to attain this goal.
